Bishop’s Mission
Supporting the Ones Who Serve—On Both Ends of the Leash
Bishop’s Mission is the go-to source for K9 handler wellness, bridging the gap between departments and pet professionals to ensure the total wellbeing of working dogs.
WHY WE EXIST
At Bishop’s Mission, we believe K9 teams deserve more than recognition—they deserve real support.
We are a nonprofit organization committed to the long-term wellness of working dogs and their handlers. By combining peer support for handlers with a first-of-its-kind K9 wellness network, we’re creating a bridge between first responders and trusted pet professionals.
Through partnerships with groomers, trainers, veterinary professionals, and nutrition experts, we help departments and handlers care for the dogs who protect and serve—ensuring they stay healthy, mission-ready, and supported throughout their careers and beyond.
We are not a therapy group—we are a peer support organization that serves those who serve, with wellness programs designed for both the K9 handler and the K9. From emergency veterinary support and handler peer debriefing to grooming, nutrition, behavior education, and training resources, Bishop’s Mission exists to ensure working dogs are treated like the vital partners they are.
Whether it’s a patrol K9, search & rescue dog, or a support animal in the field, we’re here to help departments, handlers, and their communities protect their investment—and their bond—for the long haul.
Wellness. Peer Support. Longevity.
That’s the mission.
That’s Bishop’s Mission.
