The Bishop’s Mission Emergency Veterinary Fund provides lifesaving financial assistance for urgent medical needs of service dogs owned by first responders and veterans.

Emergency Medical Care – Surgeries, injuries, and critical illness treatment.
Diagnostic Testing – X-rays, blood work, and other essential testing.
Medication & Recovery Support – Lifesaving treatment and post-op care.
Every donation, large or small, gives a hero’s K9 another chance to serve, heal, and live well.
Who We Help
The Emergency Veterinary Fund supports:
First Responders: Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other frontline professionals who own or handle service dogs.
Veterans: Military heroes who depend on their dogs for mobility, stability, and mental health support.
Eligibility is reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure those in the greatest need receive immediate help.

Departments and K9 units can partner directly with Bishop’s Mission to:
Nominate a service K9 for emergency funding
Sponsor a future veterinary fund campaign
Enroll in our department partnership program for ongoing support
Together, we can make sure no K9 is left untreated due to cost
